Lilith

Who was the ancient Goddess Lilith? In a number of versions in ancient mythology, Lilith was Adam's first wife. She was made from clay at the same time as Adam and was created as his equal. She was not fashioned from his rib and his subordinate as Eve was.

We believe she was the world’s first feminist.

Traditionally Lilith means ''the night.'' She is associated with the spiritual aspects of sensuality and freedom. She was independent and demanded to be treated as Adam’s equal, refusing to be subservient to her husband, therefore she was considered disobedient.

Lilith has been named an ancient demon, a dark deity and a sensual goddess.
